This month, we put extra care into the parts of Gracely you use every day. From the way you record giving, to the accuracy of your exports, to the small details that make managing your members feel effortless, we made the whole experience smoother, faster, and more reliable.
Much of what shipped this April came directly from your feedback. You told us where the rough edges were, we listened, and we rolled up our sleeves. Every improvement and every fix below is a direct response to something a church in our community asked us to look into, and we’re grateful for it.
We’re committed to making Gracely the platform your ministry can fully rely on, and that means investing in quality just as much as in new ideas. Here’s everything that changed this month.
✨ Improvements
Smarter Giving Batch Entry
Entering giving in bulk just got a lot less repetitive. When you add multiple donations in a single batch, each new row now auto-fills the fund, date, and payment method from the previous row. So if you’re entering twenty checks for the same Sunday’s General Fund offering, you set those values once and just type in the donor and amount for each row.
A small change that makes a big difference for anyone counting weekly offerings.
Zelle as a Payment Method
You asked us to add Zelle as an extra payment method, and we did. Since Zelle doesn’t offer an API for a full integration, we’ve added it to the payment method dropdown so you can record and track Zelle gifts inside Gracely, just like you already do with CashApp.
Other improvements
- Better mobile experience for accounting. Cleaned up responsive layouts across accounting views and modals so editing accounts, categories, and transactions on a phone or tablet feels much smoother.
- Faster page loads on permission-heavy screens.
🛠️ Bug Fixes
- Check-in details now save to the member profile. When checking in a child for the first time, the details you entered (including emergency contact info) weren’t being saved back to their profile, meaning every following Sunday you had to re-enter everything from scratch. Member profiles now have dedicated emergency contact fields and check-in syncs everything correctly. Fixed.
- Giving export date range matches what you selected. Exporting giving for a date range was shifting by one day in some time zones, sneaking in the last day of the previous month and dropping the last day you actually picked. Fixed.
- Birthdays on the people export now match the in-app date. Calendar dates on the people export (birthdays, anniversaries) were rendering one day earlier for users in western time zones. Fixed.
- No more duplicate people across pages. Paginating through the People list could occasionally show the same person on two different pages. Fixed with a stable sort tiebreaker.
- Invited users now show “Active” instead of “Pending”. Users who already existed in our system but hadn’t activated their account weren’t getting the activation email when re-invited, leaving their status stuck on “Pending” even after they accepted. Fixed.
